What is the life of an InFocus IN72 projector lens or lamp?

I heard that the life of a projector lamp (IN72) was only 300 hours. I spent a good amount of money in the projector only to find a replacement bulb is more than half of what I paid for the projector. I'm at 120 hours and I'm getting nervous I'm going to have to spend more money. No one knows ?????

The lifespan of the projector lamp InFocus IN72 when set to "low" mode is 3,000 hours. When the lamp is set to "normal" or "low" the fall of 2000 hours hours.
