"I can get your opinion about a Sony 50 inch rear projection TV (model kdf50e2000)?

We want to buy a good size TV and God knows that there are billions of different things …. LCD, DLP rear projection, blah, blah, blah. We find an agreement for a 50 "Sony Rear Proj. TV (Kdf50e2000 model) and I was wondering what can someone tell me bad or good about this TV? What's new rear-projection TVs in general? Is it sunlight in a real problem? MAINTENANCE Is it more than replacing the bulb?

Sony games usually set very well. Do not have a problem with the "screen door effect" than most other LCD RPTV have. This is when you come to the set, you can see the squares that make up the image, looks as if looking through a screen door. As for the other person who posted a problem with Sony they have. Replacement is not the first line defense. That's why they have a warranty. Find an authorized service center for Sony (like me) and make repairs. If you can not be repaired, then replace Sony the set. People have this idea that says that if there is a problem just take it back and store to replace. Some in fact do so. They do, and are not allowed to do so by the manufacturer. Sony built the set, and are responsible for making things right during the warranty period. The Wal-Mart syndrome is tired people the thought of the guarantee is good for exchange, no recourse, which is simply NOT true. Sony have sold equipment for several years, and usually do not see in the service until they have been struck by lightning, or have 3-5 years in them (except the lack of light from time to time.) I can not remember the last time you made a complaint Sony warranty. I stay in the circuit with them to capitalize on their education, material support and service.
