A projector lamp can usually last between 1,000 and 2,000 hours depending on the manufacturer, but when it reaches the end of its useful life will no longer work in its normal capacity and should be replaced. This safety feature that exists in most projectors because the execution of a more high-pressure lamp beyond its intended life runs the risk of explosion inside the projector. If this happens, you would have replaced the lamp when it is supposed.
However, many projector lamps come to life due to bad treatment. Below is a list of some of the things you must do to obtain the better use of the lamp:
– Always turn off the projector by remote control rather than power off. The projector always go into a mode of cooling when the picture turns off and the fan accelerates to cool the lamp in a controlled manner.
– The operating temperature of the lamp is that many thousands degrees, so if you unplug the projector before the previous process, the glass of the lamp to cool unevenly and will result in a stress fracture, leading to early lamp failure.
– It is good practice that once you turn on the projector, wait at least five minutes before turning it off for the fan to properly cool the unit.
– Do not move the projector until the lamp has cooled (about five minutes), because failure lamp may also be due to shock and vibration. Some rear projection models help quickly cool the projector is ready to be transferred in a shorter time period.
– Do not block the entrance and exit of cooling air. The paper should not be placed on top of a projector, or grids ventilation where they are, such as blocking filters will cause the lamp to overheat. Keep the exhaust vent at least two feet from any object.
– If the projector is based on a compartment wall, ceiling or shelf mounting, the minimum distance requirement (usually at least two feet) is indicated in the manual User must be maintained.
– Clean the rel = "nofollow" href = http://www.reflexlamps.co.uk/default.aspx "> Air Intake projector" filter every three to six months, or more often on the basis of their operating environment. If you are not comfortable with doing this, it would be advisable to use a company recommended do this for you – will be much cheaper than having to replace the entire unit too early.
