Is this video Digital Project Good?
Used Dell 1200MP is a Dlp Projector 2000 ANSI lumens Contrast Ratio 2100:1 Aspect Ratio 4:3 7.257m 0.627m 800×600 native resolution, image size 1 m projection 10 million 16,700,000 colors at least 1000 hours of lamp life left in excellent condition $ 346.17 total price I use this projector for PS2, Austar and DVD should I buy ??????????????????????????? ?
Dell projectors do not have a great reputation for home theater use (mainly business projectors class), but should be fine for movies and games. OK 800×600 resolution allows resolution of widescreen DVD (using the maximum 800 pixels wide, but only part high 600) … but it would be great with high definition material. 2000 ANSI lumens is a lot … even too much on the small screen (although the actual brightness will be lower once calibrated for proper color balance). 2100:1 CR is well suited for video (despite the comments, other reviewers!) … sure it's good to have more but many business projectors are 400:1 800:1>. And in all but the dead black room CR effectively degrades a little more than 2000:1 in even the best projectors. N digital inputs, but can be used for component video input of good quality. It supports HD input (which would allow the use of HDTV if you feed cable or satellite receiver). The sale price is $ 600 (see link) for $ 359 is a good deal. You can get a better projector for more $, but also could do worse. Consider a new lamp ($ 289, link 2) is not as expensive as in some projectors (which can be $ 500 or more.)
Infocomm 2009: Optoma HD20 (HD 20) 1080P HD Home Theater Projector for $999
I will come back again because this blog is very good for me
